Introducing new Fraser Institute senior fellow: Professor Pierre Simard
Pierre
Simard is a professor of social sciences at École nationale
d'administration publique (ENAP) in Quebec City. He is a frequent
commentator on economic and public policy issues in French Canadian
media and has served as a research consultant to various public
and private agencies."A native Quebecer, Professor Simard has cemented himself as one of Quebec's staunchest and most vocal supporters of prosperity through reliance on markets rather than government," said Jason Clemens, Fraser Institute executive vice-president.
"We are thrilled to have Professor Simard contributing to our ongoing efforts in Quebec and supporting more generally our French-language dissemination of the Fraser Institute's work."
Prior to ENAP, Professor Simard was a research professor at the Centre d'études politiques et administratives du Québec (CEPAQ). He holds a bachelor's degree in economics, a master's degree in policy analysis, and a Ph.D. in political science, all from Université Laval.
